Terra-Plast is an EnactusTMU startup, which is on a mission to promote sustainability by creating an alternative to traditional plastics. Terra-Plast is inspired by the versatility of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a water-soluble material found in products like Tide detergent pods, packaging materials, fishing gear, and cosmetic products. We are developing a biopolymer material made from wasted potato starch, which can be formed into any PVA-like product, however, Terra-Plast focuses on creating biodegradable laundry pods, called The Good Pod.
